Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American broadcaster. She is employed by ESPN and is an SportsCenter anchor for news. Since 2016, Collins has was a part of ESPN. She's the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from age nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her get her first job as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami in which she was a producer of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then she was promoted to reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg affiliate in the following year. She moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley in Texas, where she became an editor for KNVO48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. She would also fill in on occasion as a weather and sport anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's station affiliated with Dallas. She was also given more accountability. She produced pieces about Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She was the anchor for sports on Despierta America Deportes morning show. She served in the same role as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. In Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. Her older sister is also hers. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. The couple divorced shortly thereafter and, in the year 1995, she got married to a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. The summer of 2006, she spent an entire week with her sister in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked at the time. Antonietta is a senior in high school, yet she was clear about the career she wanted. While deciding if Mount Union was right to her needs, Antonietta visited the university. It turned out that she was a fan of the university and that they had the degree she was searching for. After completing her high school education she enrolled in the University to pursue media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was an affiliate. Mark Bergmann inspired her to have confidence and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply affected her. She was determined to fulfill the expectations of him and not let him down.
