Anika Noni Rose is an American actor and singer. She is most famous for her role as Tiana, the Princess and the Frog's African-American Princess. In 2011, she was recognized as one of the Disney Legend. Rose played Lorrell Robinson in from the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born on September 6 on the 6th of September, 1971. The actress is American actor and singer. She is best known for the role of Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog, the original African American Disney Princess. Disney named her a Legend in the year 2011. She also has a starring role, as Lorrell Robinson on the show Dreamgirls (2006) that was nominated for an Academy Award. And she performs the role of LaVerne Jukebox Ganner on the show Starz's Power. Her other notable roles include her theatre performances, specifically in her leading roles as Emmie Thibodeaux and as Emmie in the Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and Beneatha Younger as part of A Raisin in the Sun, a Broadway adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) where she received nominations for the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a play.
